About
Born on August 2, 1977 in Chambéry, France, she is the youngest of 7 children, the eldest of whom is the French artist and singer Ahmed Mouici.
In 2003, she was invited to sing the Kabyle part of the famous song A Vava Inouva as a duet with Ahmed Mouici on his album, in tribute to their father.
Soraya Mouici has always been immersed in music, and is regularly invited by her brother to share the stage... She appears on two television shows, and takes part in numerous festivals and beautiful venues, such as the Théâtre Antique de Vienne.
She decided to launch her own career in 2020 under the name Miss Soury. Accompanied by two musicians (Jérémie Tepper and Amaury Faivre) in an acoustic spirit, they reappropriate soul, folk-rock and blues covers...
In 2022, she made a guest appearance on the album Une pinte de blues entre amis, this time on a French track, Je suis de ce pays for Médecin sans frontières.
In February 2023, she signed to “Une pinte de blues” for two albums. The first, Tribute to Goldies, was released on October 7, 2024. The second, an album of compositions, many of which feature contributions from leading artists on the French and international blues scene, will be released on February 7, 2025.
